Recital Starts TBA
There will be two shows.
The Concert is at Union Performing Arts Center
Students should come to the performance in makeup with their hair already slicked back into a bun with no bangs, unless otherwise specified by your child's teacher. Makeup requirements: children are to wear lipstick, blush, mascera and a small amount of eye shadow (please do not use blue or green colors). No nail polish or jewelry. Absolutely no glitter.
Check In/Pick Up: Please bring your child to the door on the right in the lobby. Backstage helpers will help them with their costumes so that you may go to your seat. All students must stay For their two acts. All students are in the finale.. Parents can only pick up their children after the entire show.
Video and Pictures: The performance will be professionally videotaped. You may pick up an order form at the studio or order a copy at the dance concert. Absolutely NO Pictures or Videotaping During the Performance. It is dangerous for the performer and distracting to the audience members. This is a Union rule and they will confiscate cameras or any camcorders if they see them in use.
End of the Year Concert - Recital Stage performance is considered an integral and important part of a child's dance education. Each Spring, The Dance Pointe presents its annual dance recital, which is held in a professional venue. This dance revue allows our students the opportunity to perform dance routines they have practiced and perfected over the previous months. Professional costumes are ordered for each class. Our dance recital is truly an exciting and rewarding family experience!
Costume Fee Costume charges will range from $60.00 to $95.00. Costumes will be ordered in late December. We cannot under any circumstances, refund money for costumes once they are ordered.
Dance Concert Fee This fee, collected in February, will offset expenses associated with rental of the performance area technical crews, scenery, etc. There is no fee for family and friends to attend the Dance Concert.
Photographs and Videos After costumes are delivered, Ms. Farry will set up backdrops and take individual and group pictures of your student. Videotapes of the concert can be purchased. Purchase of the photographs and videos are optional.

Picture Instructions: Pictures are scheduled for the week of May 1st during your child’s class. I will be taking the photos and rather than purchasing packages, you will receive a picture CD. There will be information in the CD as to where to print them either over the internet or locally. We hope that gives you more flexibility at a lower cost. Pictures will take the entire class time. Please be on time. Late students tend to run the pictures over class time. I will pose your child to ensure the best possible picture. Parents will not be allowed in the picture room. Either bring your child in costume or volunteers will help your child dress. Arrangements will be made for male students. A photographer's release form will be given with the CD. Please have your child attend class for the group shot even if you are not planning to purchase an individual picture. The cost for one child is $25.00, two children is $30.00, and three or more children is $35.00. Siblings can be posed together.
Advertising Information: Once again The Dance Pointe is providing a Dance Program for the concert that will be something your child can keep for years to come. The Dance Pointe will offer advertisement in the program. You can purchase an ad personally or for a business ad. If you have any questions please feel free to ask. The ad payments are due May 11, 2016. If you want to add a picture, you may choose one from your picture disk at a later date.
