Pamela Farry-Haden

Pamela Farry-Haden opened The Dance Pointe in 1997 with the goal of providing high quality dance education, which is both safe and developmentally appropriate, for students of all ages and experience. Ms Farry earned a BFA in Ballet Pedagogy from the University of Oklahoma, with additional course work in kinesiology, bio-motor mechanics, and anatomy. While there, she was a member of the Oklahoma University Festival Ballet Company for four years. Her technical training includes the ballet methods of the Ballet Russes, Vaganova, and Cecchetti, and extensive experience in tap, jazz, tumbling and modern dance.

New York City has been the location for much of Ms. Farry’s  professional development which includes workshops and intensives with legends such as Finis Jhung, David Howard and Jeff Amsden in ballet; Mike Minery and Frank Hatchett in tap; Ronda Miller, Mandy Moore and Patricia Wilcox in jazz. Locally, she has continued taking ballet technique classes at the University of Oklahoma and Tulsa Ballet.

As the 2003 creator, founder and artistic director of South Tulsa Children's Ballet, (a certified non-profit, 501(c)(3) organization), Farry has committed to the mission of creating dance opportunities for area youth not otherwise available due to inadequate resources and lack of opportunity,  and providing young dancers with a classical ballet experience in a pre-professional company setting. At no cost, hundreds of children from all over Green Country have participated in annual performances of The Nutcracker (winter season) and Sleeping Beauty (summer season), choreographed by distinguished dance faculty from a variety of regional studios. STCB proudly awards multiple annual scholarships to top students for tuition to their home dance studio in order to lessen the financial burden of continued expert training.
